i’m your host, Autumn baker

My name is Autumn Baker, and I’ve made it my mission to break the silence surrounding domestic violence.

After surviving an abusive relationship and reclaiming my voice, I developed a vendetta against abusers, which led me to create Almost Oblivious.

Fueled by my faith in God and a deep desire to make a difference, this podcast serves as a platform for awareness, support, and change.

When I left my abusive situation, my family, friends, and faith became my foundation. My husband, Zack, who has been my best friend for over 10 years, will occasionally join me on the podcast and has been my biggest supporter. Together, we aim to create a space where people can feel seen and heard. Outside the podcast, my life is filled with joy from my three furbabies—Booker, Abby, and Lilo.

Also, fun fact, I am living with narcolepsy type 1, a rare neurological condition, but I refuse to let it slow me down, only making naps more of a requirement. Also yes, my hair is naturally this curly. Life may have thrown some challenges my way, but through faith and community, I’m determined to make a lasting impact.

Join me on Almost Oblivious as we shatter the silence around domestic violence and strive to make a difference—one story at a time.
